Remnants of Forking Paths and Other Works (2022-ongoing) is a multidisciplinary project that attempts to give physical and sensorial form to the Ecuadorian migrant experience across New York, the US, and Castilla-La Mancha, Spain through photographs, collages, and video works. Broadly, this project comprises two main parts: 1) the ongoing documentation of the Ecuadorian-American and Ecuadorian-Spaniard communities in cultural hubs in their respective localities, and 2) the creation of conceptual artworks appropriating my family and national historical archives to provide additional context to the visual and sensory experiences that photographs cannot fully convey.
